Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
Today, I had my 34 week apt. and everything went really well. As the Dr. was checking me he was asking how big was my kids and I said 8' 11, 8' 8 and 8' 6. and He said well and Just sat there for a minute and I said WHAT. and he said we are going to be moving your due date. and I thought Really, Crap but I thought S---! He is going to tell me to be pregnant longer. Well to my surprise he moved it up to christmas. AAAHHH.... He said If I even make it to Christmas. He said Jaxon is measuring about 6 pounds. I told my Dr. how Jaxon feels like he is punching my in the you know what. and He said you are probably started to Dilated we will check you next week. Which is no surprise because the last month of ALL my pregnancys I am Dilated to a 4 and 80 % effacted. WOW Jax is coming quick. We can't wait.
